David Lickley, a biologist turned filmmaker, is the Senior Producer for Science North, one of world’s acknowledged leaders in science education. Lickley has won international awards for his work and pioneered the use of an innovative multi-media technique called Object Theatre. In addition to directing, writing and producing more than 20 nature films and documentaries, Lickley directed, co-produced and co-wrote the 70 mm 3-D film and laser show Shooting Star, which tells the story of the geological evolution of the earth as seen through the eyes of a young girl. Lickley earned a B.Sc. Biology in 1989 at Acadia University and an M.Sc. Zoology in 1983 from the University of Alberta where he obtained his Masters Degree in Animal Behavior.
