Watchmen: The IMAX Experience

bigImage A complex, multi-layered mystery adventure, WATCHMEN is set in an alternate 1985 America in which costumed superheroes are part of the fabric of everyday society, and the "Doomsday Clock" -- which charts the USA's tension with the Soviet Union -- is permanently set at five minutes to midnight.

When one of his former colleagues is murdered, the washed-up but no less determined masked vigilante Rorschach sets out to uncover a plot to kill and discredit all past and present superheroes. As he reconnects with his former crime-fighting legion -- a ragtag group of retired superheroes, only one of whom has true powers -- Rorschach glimpses a wide-ranging and disturbing conspiracy with links to their shared past and catastrophic consequences for the future. Their mission is to watch over humanity ... but who is watching the watchmen?

Considering this is the #1 box office hit, one should really consider checking the content on imdb.com. After watching the previews I was extremely excited to go to this movie and went with my 16 year old daughter and 7 of her friends also came along. Not only did I think the movie had NO story line, had the most disgusting unnecessary sex scenes (rape, showing nipples just because and despite being a cartoon like figure, a vivid image of a males penis) it also had the most grotusque violence showing a man's hand getting sawed off, a child's leg being chewed upon in a tug-a-war by 2 crazed dogs! The movie showed poor taste in plotting any story line and most the audience all walked out disappointed that we spent $13.95 on a movie and spent our evening in a movie, that you walked out of scraching your head saying "Are you kidding me!" Save your money, don't even bother renting this one...Go see "Taken" or "Grand Tarino" both those movies were excellent!!! ... Read More >>
