India: Kingdom of the Tiger

bigImage INDIA: KINGDOM OF THE TIGER will take viewers on a magic carpet ride through India, examining the history of this ancient land and the developmental and environmental challenges facing this fast-growing country. The spine of the film will be a story seen through the eyes of one of India's most mysterious and compelling animals - the tiger.

TIGER follows in the footsteps of Jim Corbett, the famed English hunter-naturalist, as he races to save an Indian village from the terror of a man-eating tiger. Along his journey he expresses his passion for tigers and explores the issues of tiger conservation. The film is also a historical epic depicting India from 1910 to the modern era.

Starring critically acclaimed Indian actress Smriti Mishra and Christopher Heyerdahi (playing Jim Corbett), the film will be released in both English and Hindi.

They protrayed India in a very positive light. The only scary part (although not shown, but you know what is happening) is when the tiger jumps out of the grass and kills an indian girl. This may be frightening for some younger children. Other than that one scene, it was very good. We would see it again. ... Read More >>
