Movie: Jane Goodall's Wild Chimpanzees

I was very excited about seeing this movie, and this unfortunately added to my disappointment.  The film focuses far more on Jane Goodall than the chimpanzees themselves, and although it may have been interesting to the casual viewer, being an anthropology major I found it quite boring and saw nothing new.  I understand the respect Jane Goodall rightfully commands in the anthropological community, and was saddened to see how she attempted to maintain this respect throughout the movie - to me she came off as trying very hard to show her bond with the chimpanzees and her own importance, and I was embarassed to see how little interest the chimpanzees seemed to have in her in return, something she did not seem to be entirely comfortable with herself.  In her interaction with the younger female primatologist, I got a sense of Goodall feeling threatned by the new blood in the field, and, again, I feel that she is trying to hold on to the influence she once unequivocally held.  I would encourage anyone not familiar with primatology to see this film, but anyone with any background in it is unlikely to learn anything new and substantial.  That's just my two cents.
