Ocean Oasis Wins Award at Jackson Hole Wildlife Festival

Summerhays Films, Inc. is very pleased to announce that OCEAN OASIS; has won the; Best Theatrical Program Award - the film that most effectively advances an appreciation of the natural world; at the 2001 Jackson Hole Wildlife Film Festival. The award was presented on at Festival Award ceremonies in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Celebrating the art of natural history filmmaking, the Jackson Hole Wildlife Film Festival is the premiere film festival for natural history films and television in the US. The winning programs represent a very select group, judged from a field of over 690 film entries.

OCEAN OASIS is a Bi -national project (www.OceanOasis.Org ) produced by Summerhays Films in collaboration with the San Diego Natural History Museum and PRONATURA (Mexico's Oldest Conservation Organization). In addition to PRONATURA, OCEAN OASIS has been endorsed by Conservation International, The Nature Conservancy, Fondo Mexicano and IBOY (International Bio-Diversity Observation Year). All profits generated by this film will go to conservation, education and preservation within the subject area of the film including Baja California and the Sea of Cortés.
