National Geographic Studios is happy to announce that Antonietta Monteleone has been named Vice President of Film Distribution.

National Geographic’s giant screen films are currently on 300 screens worldwide, with 70 additional theaters opening this fall. Its newest production Asteroid: Mission Extreme will premiere in October, 2015 and Extreme Weather in the Fall of 2016.

“I’m looking forward to aligning our film content much more closely with the larger National Geographic Society content and initiatives, and increasing the number of our quality films in the marketplace,” said Monteleone.

Monteleone will be attending the GSCA conference in September along with National Geographic Studios President Brooke Runnette and the rest of the National Geographic distribution team. Mark Katz will be leaving National Geographic and we thank him for his service.
