LOUISVILLE, KENTUCKY, (January 13, 2010) – BIG & Digital, LLC and Foxfire Interactive Corporation announced today that FREEFALL: Exploring the Extremes of Gravity (working title), will be distributed worldwide by BIG & Digital to the network of IMAX¨ and Giant Screen Theaters. The film is being produced by Foxfire Interactive and is expected to release in 2013.

Freefall into the mysteries of extreme gravity! Join astronauts and a group of space science students as they travel deep into space to explore the extremes of zero gravity and black holes. Freefall with skydivers, fly weightless aboard the International Space Station, and hover at the edge of a black hole. Witness in 3D animation the devastating effects of extreme gravity on an astronaut’s heart, balance, and bones. Extreme gravity will pull you into places you have never been before!

This original 15/70mm production will include the attractive forces of award-winning director/DP David Douglas, scriptwriter Mose Richards, and producers Brad Lisle and Greg Eliason. Collaborative opportunities are being developed with NASA, World Space Week, Challenger Learning Centers, WGBH Educational Outreach, National Space and Biomedical Research Institute and more. Advisors are gravitating from MIT, Harvard, Pacific Science Center, Museum of Science in Boston, Sci-Port of Louisiana, and other institutions.

"We're very excited to work with BIG & Digital to bring the film to the network of Giant Screen Theaters," said Brad Lisle of Foxfire. "The goal of FREEFALL is to help awaken an entire generation of young people to the excitement and importance of space, and to the exhilaration of scientific inquiry. The business model we are working with is new and puts emphasis not only on the film but also an enhanced educational outreach campaign. We will also raise the bar on marketing and theater support to ensure success for all."

"FREEFALL has all of the elements of a successful giant screen experience that directly supports the missions of air and space museums and science centers worldwide," said Tina Ratterman of BIG & Digital. It emphasizes the importance of space exploration and encourages careers in math and science by immersing the audience in fun adventures and experiments throughout. FREEFALL fills a valuable spot in our future and is going to thrill audiences."
