Filmax International secures the international rights of the 3D film "Magic Journey to Africa"

Barcelona, May 6th -- FILMAX INTERNATIONAL on one side and ORBITA MAX on the other, announce today that Filmax has acquired the international sales rights of Magic Journey to Africa, one of the first European stereoscopic 3D live-action movies. With a 10 million euro budget, it combines real images with computer generated imagery (CGI) to create magical creatures and amazing visual effects.
The first images of the film will be shown as a World Premiere at MIF 09, Cannes, at the 3D Market Screening of the teaser promo:
- May 15th, at 9:30am at the LÉRINS 2
- May 17th, at 9:30am at the PALAIS K
Filmax, a power player in the international market, will present the title at the Marché International du Film (May 13–25, Cannes). The film has been directed, written and produced by JORDI LLOMPART and shooting took place at breathtaking Namibian and South African locations.
Magic Journey to Africa is a beautiful story about a 10 year old girl who embarks on an imaginary adventure on her magical winged horse to Africa. A spiritual journey for adults and a magical one for children, full of mysteries, adventures and discoveries.
Filmax International speaks confidently about the film, prior to its presentation at MIF. Orbita Max also speaks proudly of the film, one of the first European stereoscopic 3D live-action films.
