September 26, 2006, St. Louis, MO — The Giant Screen Cinema Association (GSCA) bestowed its highest honors on its members’ films, marketing efforts and special achievements at its international conference in Galveston, Texas, at the Moody Gardens Hotel on September 20, 2006.

1. The Special Achievement in Film Award: Producer Howard Hall for his work in IMAX Corporation’s Deep Sea 3D

2. Best Film Produced for Giant Screen Theaters: IMAX Corporation’s Deep Sea 3D

3. Best Soundtrack: MacGillivray Freeman’s Greece: Secrets of the Past

4. Best Film for Learning: Disney’s Roving Mars

5. Best Marketing Campaign by a Distributor: IMAX Corporation for Deep Sea 3D

6. Best Film Launch by a Theater: Indiana State Museum for their launch of Deep Sea 3D

7. Best Film Produced Non-exclusively for Giant Screen Theaters: IMAX Corporation for Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

Most awards are chosen by ballots distributed to members, with the exception of the Best Film Launch, Best Marketing Campaign and Special Achievement Awards, which are chosen by judges within the membership of GSCA.
