WASHINGTON (May 3, 2004) -- Forces of Nature, a new giant-screen film from National Geographic and Graphic Films, will feature narration by actor Kevin Bacon. Premiering across the country Memorial Day weekend 2004 and globally on June 1, Forces of Nature brings the awesome spectacle of earthquakes, volcanoes and tornadoes to the giant screen.

The film, 10 years in the making, was made possible by Amica Insurance and was funded in part by the National Science Foundation.

"We are incredibly proud of what we've been able to accomplish in this film, taking risks and finishing up with spectacular results on screen," said National Geographic's Lisa Truitt, executive producer of Forces of Nature.

"The film is in keeping with our tradition of telling great stories that matter in an entertaining way. Kevin Bacon has the perfect voice to narrate this story."
