Frank Marshall to Deliver LFCA 2004 Keynote Address

Los Angeles, CA, March 17, 2004 – Frank Marshall, one of Hollywood's most respected and successful motion picture producers, will deliver the Keynote Address during the Eighth annual Large Format Cinema Association conference scheduled April 28th – 30th in Los Angeles. The conference will take place at the Universal City Hilton and at Universal CityWalk IMAX Theater.

Founded in 1996, the Large Format Cinema Association is a non-profit corporation created to promote international public awareness of large-screen entertainment formats, and to provide a forum for sharing information among 70mm filmmakers, distributors, suppliers, exhibitors, and manufacturers.

With over 50 films to his credit, Marshall is a visionary producer who has irrevocably transformed America cinema. Marshall has also excelled as a director, and found time to devote his talents to numerous endeavors in public service and sports. Feature films produced by Frank Marshall include Raiders of the Lost Ark, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, Poltergeist, Gremlins, The Goonies, The Color Purple, An American Tale, Empire of the Sun, Cape Fear, The Land Before Time, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, and the Back to the Future trilogy.

In 1981 Marshall formed industry powerhouse Amblin Entertainment with Kathleen Kennedy and Steven Spielberg, one of the industries most productive and successful production companies. Marshall departed Amblin in 1991 and together with Kennedy formed The Kennedy/Marshall Company. Kennedy/Marshall's productions include a remarkably diverse and popular group of films, including Snow Falling on the Cedars, Map of the World, The Bourne Identity, The Sixth Sense, Signs, and Seabiscuit.

Marshall pioneered the entry of mainstream filmmakers into Large Format films, producing OLYMPIC GLORY and Disney's THE YOUNG BLACK STALLION.

Marshall is a Vice President of the United States Olympic Committee, a board member of The Los Angeles Sports Council, Co-Chairman of The L.A. Mentoring Partnership and a member of the UCLA Foundation Board of Governors. He is a recipient of the acclaimed American Academy of Achievement Award, the UCLA Alumni Professional Achievement Award and the California Mentor Initiative's Leadership Award.
