La Geode Aims to Partner with Elizara on Silk Road

La Géode in Paris, France, and Elizara Productions inc. in Montreal, Canada, would like to announce that discussions have begun concerning the large format film The Silk Road. These talks are aimed at reaching a coproduction agreement between Canada and France, with Elizara acting as majority partner. In the following months, both parties will pursue discussions with the intent of finalizing an agreement by April 30th, 2004.

Last September, The Silk Road garnered a favourable reception from delegates in attendance in Glasgow for the annual GSTA Convention (Giant Screen Theatre Association). The partners now look forward to producing the film in 2004, with a release planned for 2005.

The Silk Road is La Géode’s second coproduction with Canada has it is also involved in the large format film project Trains, for which the majority partner is French.
